About

WERAU 2024, just like the year, has come to an end. We had an excellent turnout at Faith Lutheran college, with plenty of keen competitors! Congratulations to all the winners of both the robot and drone competitions (These can be viewed in the result tab), your effort has paid off!

We sincerely express our gratitude to all the participants, parents and volunteers. This event would not have been able to run smoothly without your support and cooperation. If you haven’t got the chance to participate in this amazing event, stay tuned to our website and Facebook page: @WERAU.

Help!  I'm a new school/coach?

Don’t worry, we are here to help! The easiest way to find out what you need to do to prepare for the competition is to send us an email or give us a call and we will talk you through everything you need to know to get a team on board!

What are the team categories?

There are two categories for teams, one students one team

Primary -> Students in years 3 to 6

Secondary -> Students in years 7-9

What does a team need to compete?

Each team needs the following:

  • TELLO EDU App
  • Log in account
  • Team registration

What is the theme for 2024

This years theme is  ‘ Embrace AI ‘, which describes the growing trend of AI technology, and allow students to connect and share innovation and creativity ! Inspiring youth to embrace AI always. 

Is it possible to register a non-school affiliated team?

Sure, you will need to register and pay AUD100 for the competition registration fee, and we will assign you a login account and provide necessary curriculum, making you eligible to participate.
